We are now mixing the fantastic recordings of my upcoming album. We were in the multiple grammy award wining studio over in Paramus, New Jersey on March 17th and March 23rd this year. The studio was Trading 8s Recording Studio with owner and sound engineer, Chris Sulit. I am so thrilled. This is truly a beautiful project.
The album will be entitled Feeling The Love - Songs Of My Mother, Songs Of My Father and is a tribute to my mother and father. Gloria Elaine Gardner and Owen Gardner. It is a selection of songs that I can still hear my father singing and forms the backdrop to the childhood of Paula, Aniefe and I. My younger brother and sister.
The musicians I chose to record the album with me bring their passionate jazz instruments and create that sweet, jazz, swing groove to the tunes. There is a beautiful surprise in the heart of the album and there is a prayer-like theme that threads its way through the whole recording of this vocal jazz album.
